Hop, Sweat & Sprint 5K | 2026 Recap
What an Incredible Day for Our Community
I’m still honestly blown away by this year’s Hop, Sweat & Sprint 5K.
Every single year this event grows, but this year felt different in the best possible way. Bigger crowd. Bigger energy. Bigger impact. Seeing so many people come together on Memorial Day to move, support one another, and simply enjoy being part of something positive was incredibly special.
As I stood there watching people warm up before the race, families gathering together, friends laughing, kids running around, and participants getting ready to challenge themselves, I had one of those moments where I just stopped and appreciated what this event has become.
Three years ago, we started this event with a vision of creating something fun, meaningful, and community driven. To now see hundreds of people showing up, supporting each other, and making memories together is something I’ll never take for granted.
What I love most about this event is that it’s not just about running.
It’s about people proving to themselves they can do hard things. It’s about stepping outside of comfort zones. It’s about bringing the community together through health, positivity, and connection.
Some people came out trying to set a personal record. Some walked their very first 5K. Some came just to support friends and family. But regardless of the reason, everyone contributed to the atmosphere that made this year unforgettable.
One of the coolest things to watch was the encouragement throughout the race. People cheering each other on. Complete strangers supporting one another. Families celebrating at the finish line. That’s the kind of culture we care deeply about building.
I also want to give a very special shoutout to Roshaun, our race organizer.
A lot of people see the final product on race day, but they don’t always see the amount of work, planning, coordination, problem solving, and preparation that goes into making an event like this happen. Roshaun poured an unbelievable amount of time and effort into making sure this event ran smoothly, and I truly cannot thank him enough for everything she did behind the scenes to help bring this vision to life.
I also want to recognize all of our volunteers.
Events like this simply do not happen without people willing to serve, help, guide participants, set up, clean up, encourage runners, and do all the little things nobody notices but everyone benefits from. Your time and energy made a huge impact, and we are beyond grateful for each and every one of you.
And of course, thank you to every single participant who showed up.
Whether you ran, walked, volunteered, cheered people on, or simply came to be part of the experience… thank you for helping make this event what it is becoming.
To everyone who attended, I hope you left proud of yourself and proud to be part of this community.
And to everyone who missed it…
You truly missed something special this year.
But don’t worry, we’re already thinking about how to make next year even bigger and better.
The Hop, Sweat & Sprint 5K is becoming more than just a race. It’s becoming a tradition, and I’m incredibly thankful to help build it alongside this amazing community.
See you next year.
