What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is not thrusters and burpees, it is not handstand push-ups or muscle ups, nor is it running or rowing. These are merely exercises we typically do in CrossFit. CrossFit is a formula that utilizes the method of Constantly Varied, Functional movements performed at High Intensity to not only achieve an individual’s goal but, also to have the client continue to improve themselves without plateauing.
By using the base formula Power=Force*Distance/ time, we can make CrossFit quantifiable, which aids in producing incredible results. Of course it goes deeper than that but we are going to keep it here for now. 

 

What does all this mean? 

This means that it doesn’t matter how old you are, your experience level, or how often you may or may not workout, we can help you achieve your goals. By understanding how to break down the base formula of CrossFit we can create a workout that is measurable, observable, and repeatable to any and every individual. These workouts will be different every day to ensure maximum results (Constantly Varied) and will go through a mass array of movements that we do in everyday life, such as squats which is nothing but sitting down/ standing up (Functional Movements). The workouts will push the individual to become fitter by utilizing different weights, speed and movement standards which are completely relative to the individuals (High Intensity).

 

So now I know why, What do I do now? 

If you are a current member of our CrossFit program you have already started on the correct path. You have started to see results as well as contributed to our awesome community and we thank you. We encourage you to continue to build to become better than you were the day before and continue to ask our trainers questions to help further your knowledge.
